Kim’s Organic Homestyle Burger Meatballs
1 Box Kim’s Organic Homestyle Burger
½ cup onion, chopped fine
½ cup green peppers, chopped fine
½ cup mushrooms, chopped fine
1 ½ cups water
3 Tbs water
1 Tbs Organic flax seed (ground)
1 Box Organic Gluten Free Spaghetti
1 Jar Organic Gluten Free Pasta Sauce
1) Sauté vegetables in a small amount of organic olive oil until tender.
2) Mix together 3 Tbs water and 1 Tbs ground flax seed. Allow to sit for a few minutes.
3) Boil 1 ½ cups water
4) Add Kim’s Organic Homestyle Burger mix to boiling water, add sautéed vegetables and flax seed mixture. Stir to combine then remove from heat.
5) Form mixture into balls about the size of walnuts and place on a sprayed baking sheet.
6) Bake in a preheated 350°F (177°C) oven for 15 to 20 minutes. (Optional – Meatballs may be browned in a frying pan with a small amount of olive oil or oil free pan)
7) Place baked (or fried) meatballs into a saucepan which has been filled with 2-3 cups of spaghetti sauce. Simmer, covered over low heat for 20-30 minutes. Check often because it can burn easily. Serve with pasta.
Variation: Serve with a white pasta sauce or make delicious meatball sandwiches!
